Bio & Resume

Rico Espinoza is an award-winning filmmaker based in Vancouver, BC.

Beginning as an Improv Musician in 2012, Rico moved up in the local theatre community in Edmonton, Alberta to produce several yearly, monthly and weekly shows. With his directorial debut in 2016 with the critically acclaimed stage play, "Feather Fall", Rico then became the first Canadian recipient of the Kevin Smith Film Production Scholarship. His Vancouver Film School graduation film “Darkvision” went on to win awards and accolades from festivals all over the world.
